Benefit Big Easy Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector (#3 Light/Medium)*
For the life of me, I cannot remember where I got this sample from but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Not only was the sample the right shade for me (How often do you see that happening?), but I loved the product inside, too! So much so that I ended up purchasing a full size tube not long after I finished the sample. It works very well at keeping my skin matte, but if I'm not careful can look a bit dry.
Repurchase? Yes - already have!
Clinique Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder (Invisible Matte)
My hunt for the perfect pressed powder is constantly ongoing, and I thought that I'd try a higher-end version to see if it worked any better. I quite liked this - it was an excellent touch up powder and kept me matte for a good amount of time. However, the claims is about it being invisible are nonsense - it has a obvious yellow undertone, which works well for me and my red skin but might not work for everyone.
Repurchase? Possibly - I have others to try out first.
Benefit "That Gal" Brightening Face Primer
I believe I got this as part of a pack when I bought a tube of the Porefessional many months ago. It took me a few weeks to get around to trying out, but once I had I ended up using it pretty much every day! This helped to offer a bit of luminosity to my skin, and worked well as a make up base, allowing foundation to apply smoothly over the top. I'd even say that it helped to even out my skintone a bit too!
Repurchase? Yes.
Revlon Lip Butter (#1 Pink Truffle)
Can you believe that this is the first lipstick that I have ever finished? That statement alone is a testament to how much I love this product. It's my go-to lipstick for work, which means I'm often wearing it five days a week. It's easy to apply, is a gorgeous shade and helps keeps my lips soft and smooth - what more could I ever want? This is a holy grail lip product for me and will always be in my collection.
Repurchase? Forever and always, yes!
Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator Serum*
Aaah, my old favourite. We meet again. I had a sample of this many many moons ago, and whilst using it I fell in love. Well, even though this sample was much smaller, it allowed me to reminisce and fall in love all over again. It's a wonderful serum - it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft, hydrated and plump, and I swear I actually saw a noticeable improvement in my skin. If only it wasn't so expensive...
Repurchase? If it wasn't for the hefty price tag, yes.
Rituals 24H Hydrating Gel Cream*
This was in my goody bag from the Zatchels event I attended last June, and like all the rest of my samples it got thrown into a drawer and forgotten about. One day I had run out of the moisturiser that I use on my t-zone, and after having a slight panic managed to find this. It actually worked extremely well - moisturising my oily skin without overhwhelming it, it was light, refreshing and a pleasure to use.
Repurchase? Possibly.
Rimmel Trio Eyeshadow (#747 Dark Angel)
You might be looking at this thinking "Well, that doesn't look used up to me" - and you'd be right, because it isn't. I dug it out when wanting to use some eyeshadows one day. I worked my brush into the product, and swept it across my eye... to find that there was nothing there. It had absolutely no colour payoff whatsoever! By far the worst pigmented eyeshadows I've ever used - it went straight in the bin.
Repurchase? No.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum
I received this not last Christmas, but the one before from work, and at first I was a little disheartened. A serum aimed for an older generation, great. However, one day I decided to give it a go, and the rest they say, is history. I absolutely love this serum - yes, it's almost as expensive as the YSL counterpart, but this is one that I feel is doing much more for my skin in the long run. I couldn't be without this now!
Repurchase? Yes - already have!
Lemongrass House Mandarin Orange Aromatic Room Spray*
Sadly, Lemongrass House no longer has a shop in Trinity Leeds but it was at its opening event that I was kindly given this. I love having a spray for my room, as when I don't want to burn a candle I know that I can still scent the room without having to worry about falling asleep with it on! This scent was as fruity, zesty and uplifting as you would expect, and really reminded me of long summer days.
Repurchase? If I could, then yes.
Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture
Another perfume sample that was added to my never-ending collection, and I have to admit that I wasn't overly hyped about this one. I'd smelt this before at work numerous times, and even though there's nothing wrong with the fragrance, it's just too sweet and sickly for me. It did last a very long time, however and I can see it being an excellent choice for someone a few years younger than myself.
Repurchase? No.
Lancôme Hydra Zen Neurocalm Soothing Anti-Stress Moisturising Cream SPF15
I've never really given Lancôme's skincare a second glance before, and it's only when I was given this from work that I sat up and took notice. The ridiculously long name actually sounded promising! I started using this every day before applying makeup, and quickly came to realise that this was one of the best moisturisers that I've ever tried! It's really nourishing, and actually helped calm down my angry, red skin.
Repurchase? Yes - already have!
In Situ Cosmetics T-Zone Face Gel*
This sat in my skincare drawer for the longest time, because I didn't now what on earth it was for. Was it a cleanser? Moisturiser? Treatment? I ended up using it as a moisturiser of sorts across my t-zone, and it was one of the strangest products I've used for a while. The consistency was very thick and jelly-like, and felt like it sat on top of skin for an age before sinking in. Good job it was only a small tub!
Repurchase? No.
Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream*
Eye creams are still something I'm getting my head around. They all look pretty much the same to me! What I can tell you about this one is that it's very thick, and a little goes a long way. I used this in the evening, as it would have left too much residue for use during the day. This did actually help with dark circles. and kept my eye area soft and moisturised. I'm not sure I could justify the price tag though!
Repurchase? Probably not.
Murad T-Zone Pore Refining Gel*
I have to admit, I had really high hopes for this product, as it sounded like it was exactly what I needed. However, when I saw on the ingredients list that the second one was Alcohol Denat, my heart sank. My skin and alcohol do not get on at all, which I knew but I decided to give it a chance anyway. Whilst my skin didn't react too badly to it, it did absolutely nothing to refine my pores so I got rid.
Repurchase? No.
Stone Beauty Jasmine Body Lotion*
I seem to have hit on a couple of dud products this time around, and this is one of them. I got this out, ready to use up and found that I couldn't get a single bit of lotion out of the bottle! I left it upside down, shook it vigorously, gave it a good couple of thwacks and not even the tiniest bit came out. I could have scooped it out I suppose, but I figured that it really wasn't worth the effort, so in the bin it went.

Good job on finishing a lipstick! I've never done that, haha! I only have one shade of the Revlon Lip Butters which is Candy Apple - I like it, but I think I will pick up a more every day shade next time! I'll have to investigate Pink Truffle :)

Haha, thank you! I'd highly, highly recommend Pink Truffle - it's just beautiful :) x
