A few months ago, a lovely lady called Clare contacted me asking if I would like to be kept up to date with products from her brand, Treacle Moon. After a little browse through the information she sent me, I happily said yes. So, a couple of weeks ago I was sent some information about their latest product and asked whether I would like to try it. Again, I said yes and today I have for you their new bath and shower gel, Warm Cinnamon Nights!
Before I go into the product itself, a little about Treacle Moon. The brand launched in 2007 and currently have fifteen products available, including bath and shower gel, shower wash, body scrub, body butter and hand wash in a variety of scents. Admittedly I had never heard or seen the brand before, but what made me like the brand instantly is how budget friendly they are - we're talking just a few pounds for each product! Their line is exclusively available at Tescos, which means that they're super easy to pop in to your basket with your food shop. Warm Cinnamon Nights is their latest product released for winter, and is limited edition - which is why I wanted to get this review up as quickly as possible!
Treacle Moon describe the fragrance as "warming cinnamon, spicy clove, syrupy ginger, vanilla and just a drizzle of sweet honey, all topped with a zesty note of orange and a hint of comforting stewed apple". Unfortunately with me having a rotten cold I haven't been able to smell it as well as I'd like, but I can definitely smell the cinnamon and stewed apple straight away - very precisely the stewed apple, which I wasn't expecting! The more I smell it the more I pick up, it's a surprisingly complex scent that is just heavenly. It does smell quite "foody" - I've always loved those sort of scents but some tend to be quite fake and too sweet smelling. However, this one smells fresh and not synthetic in the slightest. It is pretty much Christmas in a bottle and I couldn't think of a more festive scent!
The liquid itself is very thick and a bright, vivid red - which is fun when you're washing yourself with it! The joy of this product is that it can be used as both a bath and a shower gel; I have only tested it as a shower gel (there isn't a bath in my house) and I have to say it smells even more incredible once you're actually using it! On one of those net puffs it lathers up beautifully, and lathers up pretty well without one too - a little goes a long way with this product. I've been using this every day for just over a week and the bottle still looks full, which is no mean feat! You're getting exceptional value for money here; with the bottle being 500ml, this would easily last you right through to the end of the winter season with plenty to spare. Either that or you could mad with the bubbles - when it is this cheap and limited edition I'm tempted to buy more and do just that!
Final verdict: A incredible smelling multi-use product that is so cheap, you'd be daft not to at least stop and have a sniff of this product if you spot it on the shelves!
Warm Cinnamon Nights* is available from Tescos for £2.99.
