What I've been loving this week (#2)

May 11, 2014

Polaroid Havana P8317 Sunglasses
I bought these sunglasses from work at the back end of last week, and I am absolutely loving them! I'm sure that there's someone out there that will disagree, but I think these sunglasses suit me perfectly. Polaroid sunglasses are of amazing quality and really aren't that expensive - you're looking at around £50 for the average frame. Not only do they feature polarised lenses - which, let's be honest, if I'm spending good money on sunglasses I expect them to be - but they fit really well too and are very durable. This is the second pair of Polaroid sunglasses that I own and I can see myself buying more pairs in the future!

Fargo (Channel 4 TV Series)
I saw this advert about a month ago on TV, and being a big fan of Martin Freeman I thought "Oooh, I'll have to watch that". Little did I know how good it was going to be! I won't spoil it for you, but the story focuses on Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton); a lonely, manipulative man who drastically changes the life of a insurance salesman from Minnesota, Lester Nygaard (Martin Freeman) - and not for the better. It's quite dark, but is brilliantly funny at the same time - I've never seen anything on TV quite like it. The pilot episode was fantastic and I've been hooked ever since! It's on every Sunday at 9pm.

Foster's Radler Lime & Ginger
Martin brought a four-pack of these home last weekend, and I've had my two bottles from it this week. Now, I hate to say it as I can't stand the normal Foster's, but this is pretty damn good - far better than it has any right to be. It's one of those beers that's so easy to drink, being only 2%, and is perfect to relax with after a long day at work. I think it would taste nicer chilled (I've not tried yet), and can imagine drinking this on a summer evening. I'm actually considering picking up a few packs of these to just have on hand; not very healthy I know, but who cares? This is far too tasty to not have on back up!

A good takeaway and Goldeneye on TV
Last but not least for this week, is a simple, indulgent pleasure of mine - a chicken korma takeaway curry and something good to watch with Martin. I've been working a lot of hours this week, and this was the perfect way to unwind at the end of it! Despite the quite frankly alarming amount of unhealthy food I eat, I actually can't remember the last time I'd had a takeaway before this so I saw it as a treat to myself! Martin discovered that the James Bond film Goldeneye was playing on Film4, so we settled down to watch it. I forgot just how terribly 90's it was - bless Pierce Brosnan and his cheesy one-liners, they never get old.

    1. Thanks Leanne! <3 That one seems to be the most easy-to-get-hold-of version,
but I haven't got around to trying it yet! It would be great for a barbecue :) xx
