I'm back again today with another haul - but only a small one this time! I've popped into Primark a few times over the last few weeks to see what spring/summer items were in stock, and have picked up a few items here and there. Spring/summer is not my favourite time of the year for style - there's never that much that I like, hence the small and probably slightly less exciting haul this time around. I feel obliged to point out that I picked up a few extra bits that I haven't photographed, like packs of tissues for instance, but I don't think anyone needs to see that! Let's move on to what is worth showing you guys.
Printed/coloured trousers, £9 each
A pair of these may look familiar - if they do, you've either seen them in this post or my Instagram! These are all my new favourite pairs of trousers, because they are just so damn comfortable. They are lightweight, with an elasticated waist, and [bxA]taper down to a half-elasticated ankle - meaning that I don't think that there's a body shape that these wouldn't suit. As you can see, they come in a variety of colourways and also several prints too; I picked up the paisley and coral pair first, and went back the next week to pick up the mint and pale pink pairs. They are ever so slightly sheer, so I need to wear nude underwear with them, but apart from that I can't fault these at all. The coloured pairs come with silver zips on the pockets (That serve no purpose other than to look good) whereas the printed pair don't, and the printed pair fit slightly smaller, but apart from that they're all pretty much identical. These are perfect for summer, that will look good with either flats or heels and I'm sure I'll be doing an OOTD with these soon.
Damask storage bag, £2.50
At the time, I was carrying about a lot of shopping with me (Just boring food essentials, if you were wondering), and when my Primark bags were due to be added to the mix I knew that all manner of bad things were going to happen! I'd spotted this bag in store previously, drawn to its print and colour and thought "Oooh, that'd be useful to have on hand". Seeing as I was going to be struggling with bags that day, I decided to grab one and put all of my shopping into it and keep it for future use further down the line! It's actually way bigger than I had anticipated, but served its need very well at the time. I'm thinking that when me and Martin eventually move in together, this might make a good laundry bag!
Balloon print cuffed pyjama pants, £5
My primary reason for my most recent visit to Primark was to pick up some new pyjama pants. All of mine have shrunk in the wash, leaving me looking more than a little bit ridiculous at bed time! After picking up a pair of cuffed Coca-Cola pyjama pants about a month ago, I realised that they don't shrink in the wash - therefore, I set out to replace my misshapen pairs with cuffed ones instead. The first pair I saw featured this adorable bright turquoise and coral balloon print; seriously, how cute are they?
Lightning print cuffed pyjama pants, £5
This pair is actually made out of a thicker, stiffer fabric than the previous pair, so I'm curious to see how comfortable they are come the warmer months. I love the cartoon style lightning bolts, and the colours are right up my street as well. As with all of my pyjama pants, I picked these up in a size up from usual; I find them much comfier this way and it's pretty standard practice when it comes to buying pyjamas, I'm sure!
Marvel print cuffed pyjama pants, £8
I'd spotted these in a previous visit, and knew I had to have them. Primark have a pretty impressive, properly branded range of Marvel clothing at the moment and I think that these one of the newest items to be added. They also come with a matching top but I didn't need one of those! These actually fit much closer than I expected, and are described as "leggings" on the receipt, which is pretty accurate. Despite this, they are still extremely comfortable, and will hopefully last just as long as the other pairs I have.
P.S. Love... Long Last Matte Lipstick, £1.50
A bit of an impulse buy, but seeing as it was so cheap I think I can get away with it! I'd heard about Primark's new/rebranded make up range; it appears that some products are entirely new, like this one, and some have just had a packaging update. I spotted this near the till point, and even though I couldn't test it I decided to pop it into my basket and give it a go. I love a matte finish on a lipstick, and I'm curious to see how it performs against other products of a higher price range. There appears to be no shade name nor number to this - at least not as far as I can tell - but it is a dusky, blue-toned mid range pink that looks pretty easy to wear. I will be reviewing this in the not-so-distant future!
