Can you believe that I actually wore something that wasn't black? Shock horror! I decided to step out of my comfort zone with this outfit - both with the colour and the style of trousers. Also, I'm wearing my hair up... this post is full of surprises. I wore this outfit on both Saturday and Sunday of this week; on Saturday for the Oriflame blogger's event (More on that soon) and on Sunday for meeting Martin after he finished work. If you live in the UK like I do, then you'll know that the past weekend saw an abundance of hot, sunny weather - something us Yorkshire folk are really not used to, to be honest. Knowing that it was on the way, I planned an outfit that would be loose fitting and comfortable; anything tight was an absolute no-go.

The top is one of my new favourites from Matalan, that I picked up over a month ago in store. It was the coral version that caught my eye (Which I also own), and whilst initially I wasn't sure about the folds down the front of the top, it's something that I've grown to really like. I picked up the blue one just to try something different, and I love the texture of the fabric and the fit. With this new blue addition to my wardrobe, when I spotted these trousers in Primark I knew I had to have them - and I know that I've gone on about them until the cows come home, but they are so, so comfortable. They're quite flattering, even on my tree trunk legs and I can see me wearing these a lot throughout the summer. The sunglasses are a recent purchase, and now go with me everywhere I go. I got them in the tortoiseshell colourway, but I'm tempted to pick them up in black too because I love them so much! The necklace I bought last month, reduced to £2 (Sammie was wearing the same on on Saturday!), and whilst I love the 'nuts and bolts' design and mixed metals, as Martin pointed out to me in fits of laughter, it leaves my neck green! I need to get some clear nail varnish onto it, pronto. The bracelet and shoes are old purchases from a couple of years ago, but I know that Primark are selling a very similar pair of loafers at the moment!

Ohmylife I love this outfit! Patterned trousers are my new love too, although I'm not always brave enough to wear them... You really suit having your hair up too,and that bracelet is gorgeous, Primark did good!
