All Used Up #15

Dove Refresh + Care Dry Shampoo
Over the last few months, I've been trying various dry shampoos in an effort to find the one that works best for me. This one from Dove came highly recommended from bloggers that I follow, so it was next up on my list. I like the scent - very fresh and clean - but I found that I had to use a lot of it to get it to do anything for my hair and as a result it was used up very quickly. A bit of a disappointment!

Fudge Urban Crisp Pear & Sweet Vanilla Dry Shampoo
As you can see, I went through two of these as I really enjoyed this dry shampoo. Again, it was another blogger recommendation and it's been my favourite dry shampoo that I've tried so far. It had a lovely scent that wasn't overpowering, and I didn't need anywhere near as much as I did when using the Dove version. I wouldn't say that this was the perfect, holy grail dry shampoo for me but it's the winner so far.
Repurchase? Yes, probably.

Carino Mighty Shampoo
My mum bought me this and the matching conditioner from Aldi many months ago... can you think of what brand they might have copied?! As shampoos go, this was pretty good - it left my hair feeling clean without being stripped, lathered up well, provided a bit of extra volume and it smelt pretty incredible too. When this is less than half the price of the brand it has copied, I know which one I would pick!
Repurchase? Yes.

Kerastase Laque Noire Hairspray
I received this in a "My Little Box", and have been using it to keep my hair in place when I tie it up. Even though it's only a small can, it actually ended up lasting me for a good couple of months, and I was using it around twice a week. I liked this hairspray because it held my hair in place without leaving it feeling crispy, and was pretty easy to brush out. However, I think that the full size can is ridiculously expensive!

Pantene Pro-V Breakage Defence Conditioner
I can't remember where I got this from... I'm thinking maybe a magazine? My hair suffers quite badly with breakage (at the moment I'm dealing with some quite extensive breakage at my hairline), so looked forward to giving this a try. This was quite thin in consistency, but left my hair feeling very smooth and manageable, which surprised me. I'd like to try a full size and see if it actually helps with breakage!
Repurchase? Yes.

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Shower Gel
I always have a Body Shop shower gel in my "All Used Up" posts, and this time is no exception. I bought this just before Christmas last year when I went to The Body Shop Christmas Event in Leeds. I liked the Glazed Apple range at first, but after using this on a daily basis I found it to be too sweet and sickly for me. The texture was also very strange, as it was like a thick jelly! The cap broke easily too.

The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel
This particular scent has been on my "to try" list for quite some time and eventually I picked up a bottle. I had high hopes for this scent, and I wasn't disappointed - it was very fresh and of course fruity, and a perfect shower gel to use in the morning to help wake me up and get going! As always with these shower gels, it lathered up well and I didn't need to use much each time - although I always did!
Repurchase? Yes.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel*
This was part of my Lush Star of Wonder Gift Set that was given to me when I attended the Lush Christmas 2014 event in the Leeds store. Everyone goes mad for the Snow Fairy scent, and I can see why - it's very sweet and unusual for that time of year. Personally I found it to be overpowering and it almost gave me a headache when I used it - I could still smell it in the bathroom hours later! Not for me.
Repurchase? No.

Crabtree & Evelyn Avocado, Olive & Basil Shower Gel*
Last shower gel, I promise! Again, I can't remember where this one was from but I think that it must have been in a goody bag that I received from an event. As shower gels go, this was alright; it did the job, but I didn't find the scent to be anything special. A little did go a long way and it was pleasant enough to use, but for the price they sell it for I know that I can get better ones elsewhere for a lot less money.
Repurchase? No.

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo*
Do you remember when I had my hair cut at Allertons? Yes, that was eight months ago! I was kindly given this and the conditioner to try by Dean at the salon as he had used them on my hair. I was really hoping that I didn't like them as they're so expensive! Unfortunately for me, that isn't the case and I love this shampoo. It smells incredible and left my hair feeling really light and bouncy, and very soft indeed.
Repurchase? If it wasn't so expensive, yes!

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Conditioner*
I was a little apprehensive about using this conditioner at first, as the oil formulation made me think that it might be very thick and weigh my hair down. Yes, it was thick, but very easy to spread through the hair and easy to rinse out too. It didn't leave my hair feeling weighed down at all - just soft and smooth, and smelling lovely too. This obviously worked well with the shampoo but worked well with others too.
Repurchase? If it wasn't so expensive, yes!

John Masters Organics Rose & Apricot Hair Milk*
This was in the goody bag that I received from the Sheffield BBloggers event that I went to last year, and I was excited to try it. This is a leave-in product, and the packaging instructs you to work it into towel-dried hair and style as desired, which is what I did. I'm sorry to say that this product is awful! I used the tiniest amount, and it left my hair feeling so greasy that I had to use dry shampoo immediately after.
Repurchase? Absolutely not.
