This is a new little series I'm going to be doing. Over the last few months I've started to take more notice of trends and what's "in fashion". Admittedly a lot of the trends I tend not to like and would probably never wear (double denim, anyone?), but every so often one comes along that I absolutely love. During this Autumn/Winter there's going to be quite a few of these posts - Autumn/Winter being my favourite seasons after all - but I'm sure there will be some more come the warmer months. With each of these posts I'll be picking about five items that can be purchased online or in store for a reasonable price. Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think of this idea!
Molda Metallic Baroque Print Leggings
£12.00
boohoo.com
The love that I found for leggings over the summer has not died and these are my newest favourites. I'm not sure of the quality of these but they look much more high end than they should be and are very reasonably priced. These would add an edge to a long black top or even a little black dress for a bit of evening glamour, and is a slightly more unusual take on the trend.
Baroque Foil Placement Top
£8.00
George @ Asda
I'm all for wearing long tops at the moment and this one fits the bill perfectly! The scoop neckline is a favourite of mine and would work well with just about any trousers I can think of... jeans, ankle grazers, you name it! The joy of this top is that it can be dressed up or down and take you from day to night. I can imagine wearing this with a leather jacket and lashings of gold jewellery.
Baroque Print Skinny Fit Trousers
£13.00
Primark
You will no doubt recognise this photo from my haul a few weeks ago. I had seen that Primark were doing various pairs of baroque printed trousers but had not seen this particular pair. These are a bit more interesting than plain black trousers, but are not over the top thanks to the subtle print. These would look amazing with a pair of smart black heels and a silver/grey top.
Baroque Devore Scarf
£7.00
F&F @ Tesco
Onto accessories now, and there are so many out there but this scarf jumped right out at me. It is such a classic design, and with the velvet detail it is incredibly luxurious. Scarves are a winter essential and I don't think you can go wrong with this. Pairing this with a bright coat, black gloves and a black hat would be a winning combination and would definitely keep you warm!
Dolly Dress in Baroque Print
£75.00
ASOS.com
This dress is what made me fall in love with the baroque trend! It is a bit too expensive for me, but with the right discount code this could be more affordable. Everything from the sweetheart neckline to the flared skirt is to die for. I think this dress is a statement on its own and would look best with bare legs and simple jewellery. Unfortunately it is out of stock right now but I'm hoping they get more in soon!
