A little while ago, I received an email that immediately sparked my interest. It was from a company called Mallzee, and they're offering something very unique that I think you guys will be very interested in!
Launching later this year, Mallzee is a new website that offers the chance for shoppers to take part in a new online shopping experience. The idea is that you guys - the shoppers - can create your own personalised shopping mall ("Mallzee"), by choosing your favourite brands and stores. Mallzee currently have over 200 brands signed up (Including New Look, Urban Outfitters and many more), so you're going to be pretty spoilt for choice! Then, the software finds products matching your style and showcases them in your Mallzee, ready for you to purchase from.
You may be wondering "Why would I want to do that when I can just go straight to the brand's website?" Well, there's a very good answer to that and it's because you can earn money from using Mallzee - yes, really! Let me explain how that works...
The idea is that you can invite your friends to ‘visit’ your Mallzee through Facebook chat - something that most of us probably use quite often, right? They can then browse your Mallzee and add stuff to your wardrobe for you to check out later. The best part is that they can also purchase from your Mallzee themselves if anything catches their eye, with some great discounts that are available. Which, as the "owner" of the Mallzee, earns you money every time someone purchases items through there! This money can then be spent shopping with Mallzee's partners or even donated to charity.
Another benefit of using this website is that if you're still unsure of which item to go for, you can also create polls to ask your friends' opinions before you buy. For me that would take out the hassle of going on Facebook and Twitter, begging for someone's opinion on whether I should buy this dress or that top!
As mentioned before, Mallzee is yet to launch but you can register now for a free launch invite at Mallzee.com. When you register you will be given the option to spread the word on Facebook or Twitter, and if you do, you are in with a chance of winning £100/$155 of shopping vouchers and some other goodies! If that isn't incentive, I don't know what is! I for one have already signed up and can't wait to see what Mallzee have in store - social online shopping is a difficult nut to crack and I think they've got a good chance of making it happen with this idea!
What do you think of the idea of Mallzee? Will you be signing up ready for the launch?
