Me and Martin went into town on Monday, making the most of being able to not having to fight through the weekend crowds! To be honest we mainly went in to visit Red Hot World Buffet (which is AMAZING by the way), but we quickly nipped to the shops to pick up some bits.
Primark, £9
I desperately needed a new work bag, and whilst I had my eye on the knockoff Rocco one, I spotted this one in Primark that I think is even nicer! It did originally come with a shoulder strap and tacky charms, but Martin took those off for me.
Primark, £2
My muslin cloth was getting way too dirty, so in the meantime I was using face cloths to clean my face in the evening. Over time I've actually come to prefer these; they hold heat better, are more exfoliating and generally feel a bit nicer.
Primark, £1.50
My room becomes a haven for hundreds of insects when it is warm - when I open my window to let some air in, they all come in for a party! So I'm hoping that popping one of these on my windowsill will draw some of them towards that rather than my room.
Primark, £2
I'm always on the lookout for new candles, and when I saw that Primark did their own I couldn't resist! This one smells just like cake - even the shop assistant serving me couldn't stop sniffing it! It has two wicks, which is a first for me.
Primark, £2
Possibly my only contribution to the patriotism this year, these earrings were just too cute to ignore! I have to admit that I don't like the ones on the left, but for so little I can live with that. My favourites have to be the red buses, I think!
Primark, £1 (twin pack)
These are my favourite face wipes. I don't actually use them for cleaning my face anymore though - only when I'm back from a night out and can't be bothered going to the bathroom! These are usually used for tidying up my make up on application.
99p store, 99p
I was on the hunt for another Betty Crocker candle when I spotted this - looks like a dupe to me! They had a few scents, but I was desperate to try a cinnamon bun scent so snapped this up. I can't wait to see if this is as good as Betty Crocker's!
99p store, 99p
I actually bought two of these - one to leave at Martin's, and one for home. As I've said before, I'm not fussy when it comes to deodorants - although I do tend to gravitate towards ones that claim to minimise white marks and have 0% alcohol.
99p store, 99p for 5
Whenever me and Martin venture into shops like these, we always end up buying half of the shop's snacks! I was restrained this time and only picked up these for lunch when I'm at work. They're a reasonably healthy alternative to the cereal bars for kids.
