Weddings at Ox Pasture Hall, Scarborough

May 27, 2015

If you missed my reviews about our stay, check them out here and here!

When me and Martin were staying at Ox Pasture Hall, we took the opportunity (as you will have seen in my first post) to take a walk around the grounds and explore a little. I had known beforehand that Ox Pasture Hall caters for weddings, but it was only once we were on our journey around the area that I realised what a beautiful and special location it would be for one. Sadly, on the day that we were there it was overcast and very grey, so I'm afraid that my images don't do the hotel and grounds justice at all, but hopefully you can get the jist. Set in seventeen acres of it's own landscaped gardens and grounds, there are so many stunning backdrops for wedding photographs to be taken against, and even multiple options for outdoor ceremonies and receptions, should you be luckier with the weather than we were!

Near to the entrance to the hotel is the Dovecote Suite, where wedding receptions can be held and caters for up to 180 people, making it ideal for large weddings. Unfortunately, we couldn't get inside to take any pictures (We even had a member of staff who tried!), but for images of the interior visit the photo gallery on Ox Pasture Hall's website. As you can see, it looks stunning; it is simply and tastefully furnished, but extras such as table decorations, ceiling hangings and whatever else you may desire can be added to transform the venue into a truly unique space. If a big fancy do is not up your street, Ox Pasture Hall are also happy to cater for smaller, intimate ceremonies, as well as civil partnerships and Asian weddings. With this hotel, there is no need to worry about finding separate venues for your ceremony and reception, as there is the space and facilities to cater for both - meaning a lot less hassle and stress!

Should you so require, you can have exclusive use of the hotel and it's grounds for you wedding, which means that no other guests are permitted throughout the duration. This isn't something that would concern me personally, but it's a great option to have and would certainly give the bride, groom and their guests complete privacy should they need it. It is ideal for those that are planning on accommodating a large number of guests, as all 32 bedrooms can be used by the guests and nobody else. Of course, there is also the option of using the venue "as is", which would work better for those with a smaller number of guests. The same quality of care is offered throughout, and the staff will do everything in their power to ensure that the occasion runs exactly as planned. In either case, Ox Pasture Hall is able to offer everything you could possibly need, and are happy to tailor the venue to your requirements if you are looking to add something extra special or there is something that is not listed in the wedding brochure.

Set in a stunning location, with bespoke services and every wish catered for, Ox Pasture Hall is truly a hidden gem tucked away on the Yorkshire coast. If the gracious hospitality that me and Martin experienced throughout the duration our stay is anything to go by, then I would say that you would be well and truly looked after on your special day. No matter what you want to plan for the occasion, whether it be a lavish, elaborate affair or a romantic ceremony with just your closest family and friends, Ox Pasture Hall can cater for every eventuality. So, if you're planning on getting married and are looking for a beautiful and unique wedding venue in Yorkshire, then Ox Pasture Hall could well be it!

Disclaimer: Our stay at Ox Pasture Hall, including dinner and breakfast, was complimentary, in exchange for this post and my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own and Martin's.
