Christmas Gift Idea: Lush "Star of Wonder" Gift Set

If you read my previous post, then you will know that I attended a Christmas event at the Lush Leeds Spa store last month. At the end of the evening, we were each given a specially-designed tote bag, which would have made a pretty awesome gift in itself! I forgot to take a proper picture of it (You can see a bit of it in the background), but you can see it here on Music and Eyeliner's post about the event. However, inside the bag was an extremely generous gift - the Star of Wonder gift set*, £26.50. To say that I was gobsmacked is a big understatement! So, I thought in this post I would tell you all about it.

In this beautifully designed, star-shaped box you get six limited edition festive products. If you know someone who adores the Snow Fairy scent (Let's be honest, there's not many out there who don't love it!), then this would be an amazing gift to give them. It would also make a brilliant gift for someone new to the Lush bath bomb range, as they make up four out of the six products, or even as a special treat for yourself - because why not, eh? The six products in this gift set are Shoot For The Stars bath bomb, Snow Fairy Sparkle Shimmer Bar, Snow Fairy Shower Gel (100g), Star Light Star Bright bath melt, Candy Mountain bubble bar and Sparkler bath bomb. Plenty enough in there to keep someone happy for a couple of months at least, especially since none the scents are traditionally festive.

I must point out that in the image above, my Sparkler got broken on the journey home so what you see there is about half the stick - as you can see, it did a wonderful job of staining my lovely bag (Don't worry, it doesn't stain skin at all)! Having tried out the Snow Fairy Sparkle Shimmer Bar at the event and falling in love with it, I was thrilled to discover that I was taking one of my very own home with me. I have used the Snow Fairy Shower Gel a few times now, and whilst it is very sweet, it makes for a lovely treat. A little goes a long way, and your skin and whole bathroom will smell of it for hours afterwards... yummy! As mentioned in my previous post, I saw the Star Light Star Bright bath melt being demonstrated, and it is the ultimate indulgent bath product as it moisturises your skin as well as looking pretty. The rest of the products have a good range of scents - Candy Mountain is sugary sweet, as you would expect; Shoot For The Stars contains a invigorating blend of orange and bergamot oils; and the Sparkler has the same scent as the Rose Jam Shower Gel, which I didn't actually know and now I'm desperate to use it! All in all, a wonderful gift to give and receive at Christmas time - if you have a die-hard Lush fan in your life, you need to get them this! If you're buying for yourself... well, I'm sorry that I enabled you.

Psst: If you're buying for yourself, consider waiting until the Boxing Day sales - all of the Christmas range, including gift sets will be reduced to half price! You'll have to be quick, but just a heads up.

  1. Shoot for the stars leads to such a stunning bath, its one of my favourites.
and the Rose Jam shower gel is incredible, definitely my favourite Lush scent, so I'm madly buying up all the other products with the same fragrance!
