Sainsburys, Primark & Matalan haul

October 02, 2012

Not only was this Friday pay day, it was also my last day of work - it should have been a downer but because I was very lucky, I managed to get another job straight away, which started on Monday. Therefore, I had to have a little celebration and went on a bit of a spending spree! I did need couple of odd bits and pieces for my new job (which I didn't photograph... it was boring honestly), and picked up lots of other bits and pieces along the way.

Sainsburys, £4.99
I have been after this range for the longest time! My Peaches & Clean is very nearly finished so after reading reviews, I decided to purchase this. It smells incredible and I can't wait to try it; I love creamy cleansers so I'm really hoping my skin gets along with it! This was on 3 for 2 with the items below.

Sainsburys, £7.99
My current moisturiser is not on its way out, but it really wasn't doing enough for me. Again, after reading reviews I bought this, particularly for my nose. I have used it a few times already (all over my face, I might add) and I am so, so impressed with it - I may have found my holy grail moisturiser!

Sainsburys, £4.99
Another cleanser? Yes, and for good reason! As you may have guessed this is again for my nose - I decided that because it is so extreme, it needed its own specialised cleanser - one that targets the problems I'm having. I don't know if it'll help any but it can't hurt to give it a go when it was effectively free.

Primark, £1.50
I went into Primark to buy (amongst other things) a new pair of gloves, as I lost mine a long time ago. I did pick up the regular £1 black ones but then I spotted these... and in the basket they went! Amazingly they do actually work - they look silly, but if my hands are kept warm I really can't complain for that price!

Primark, £1
An item that I wasn't intending on picking up, but ended up in my basket anyway. It's always handy for me to have a brush in my bag, and it had never occurred to me until now to just buy a mini one instead of lug my big one around! These will be going in my carry-on luggage for Amsterdam next week.

Primark, £1.50
Is it just me, or is the jewellery section in Primark at the moment full of rubbish? I used to find loads of really nice pieces there and now I'm struggling to find any! However, I did spot these - I wear black and gold a lot so these were a no brainer really. They're surprisingly light too, which I was not expecting.

Primark, £4
I must have about 7-8 pairs of black tights in my bedroom but they get ruined so easily... they always end up with funny lines all over them, anyone else get that? Maybe it's because they're cheap? These ones are cotton tights, which will hopefully last a little longer and keep my legs warmer in the winter months.

Primark, £8
I love it when Primark start to bring in their Autumn/Winter clothes, I could spend hours pouring over all of the snuggly warm clothing! This jumper came in many different shades - I was tempted by the purple but picked up the blue instead to be a little different. This is definitely coming to Amsterdam with me!

Primark, £2.50
I bought this purely because my old one from last year had warped and faded - a simple replacement! Although this one is the stretch style which I much prefer to the ribbed style I had before. This is to go under any jumpers (including the one above) and dresses with a very low neckline too.

Matalan, £12
I saw online that Matalan had a great selection of long length, baggy tops - but this one was not online! I spotted it in store and it reminded me of this top that Miss Budget Beauty wore. They're not overly similar but I love the colours of the top I bought, I own nothing else like it and it's perfect to just throw on.

Matalan, £10
Now this one I did spot online - they do them in an impressive range of colours but I wanted just plain old black. You can just see the exposed zip peeping out; this runs down the back, and let me tell you that it is bloody irritating once you start wearing it! However, that's easily solved by wearing my vest underneath.
