Betty Crocker Chocolate Brownie scented candle

June 16, 2012

It wouldn't be surprising if a lot of you read the title of this post and thought "A candle... has she gone mad?" No ideas about that one I'm afraid but this blog's title is "beauty, fashion & lifestyle" blog after all! This is a post that is about getting a bargain so it's not all bad, read on for more.

As you'll see in tomorrow's "Week in Instagram" post, I went on a very naughty spending spree in town and came home with quite a collection of items. The usual suspects were there but amongst those was this candle that I simply couldn't resist! I picked this up in Poundworld, where as you would no doubt know that it was a measly £1. I for one had no idea that Betty Crocker made candles or that you could even buy Betty Crocker items in this country (with the exception of those specialised American sweet shops). Maybe I'm a little late to the game but I was a bit surprised to see this in a pound shop. Of course I picked up and sniffed all the candles that they had to offer - not all Betty Crocker, mind you - and this was an immediate favourite!

The scent is "chocolate brownie" and it blew me away with how amazing it smells! It really does smell like freshly baked chocolate brownies, or even melted chocolate, not synthetic or unpleasant at all. It comes in a glass pot and is a decent size at 85g. The only problem with buying it is that I now want to try all the other scents, particularly the "cinnamon bun" and "gingerbread" ones! These seem to retailing for £4-5 online, so if you ever spot these in your local pound/discount shop, at the very least go and give them a sniff and get a bargain by buying a few!
