First off, I feel like I must apologise for the lack of images for this post. Me and Martin - my long suffering photographer - were running late and I completely forgot to get any close ups of any details. Still, some pictures are better than none, right? Anyway, onto the outfit, that's what you're here for. This is what I wore last Saturday, where I had quite the schedule - meeting the guys at Cohorted for a focus group meeting (More about that another day), then meeting Martin for a drink or two before heading onto Pizza Express for a meal (I will be writing about that soon too!). I wanted something comfortable - there was a food baby to accommodate after all - stylish and able to put up with a full day in Leeds. As it turned out, this outfit was just the ticket! I had not yet had the opportunity to wear this dress from my Matalan haul, and seeing as this one had black details that allowed me to wear it with black tights, that's the one I went with. I know that they say to never wear black and blue together, but rules are made to be broken, are they not? I don't think that it looks too horrendous anyway. I love the shape and fit of this dress; it's stretchy and forgiving. It looks quite short on me, but it didn't feel too short at all - I would actually describe it as being a near-perfect length! Seeing as the dress has quite a loud print and bold colours, I kept my jewellery simple and stuck to black and silver to let the dress do the talking. The tights get an unusually special mention as they're some of the best that I've ever found; I usually end up getting horizontal pull marks across the thigh area of the tights, but these are the only pair I've found where that happens very minimally. They're also a good length, stay exactly where they are - no constant pulling them up here - and are opaque enough without being completely opaque. Finally, the boots - I bought them during the winter at the beginning of this year and for being so cheap, they have lasted very well indeed! They're very comfortable, and offer enough of a heel to dress things up a bit, but I can still walk in them very easily. They also go with everything, from jeans to dresses which is an added bonus!

Matalan have some gorgeous dresses in at the moment and they're so reasonably priced, the one you're wearing is lovely and an absolute steal at £14!
