I know this post is probably coming along a bit late - in all honesty I had written it down as an idea a few months ago then promptly forgot about it, oops! Still, better late then never eh? These can also work quite well for winter, although I'll be doing a separate Winter version of this post before Christmas. So without further ado here are my top 5 nail polishes for autumn!
Nails Inc. Piccadilly Circus - I got this free from Glamour last Christmas, and while it makes a pretty good winter shade I think it is just perfect for autumn. The deep yet quite bright raspberry shade is always an autumn favourite, and will be on trend year after year so you're really making an investment. This particular polish is opaque in two coats and is generally just great quality - as you'd expect for £11 a pop!
OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? - If you're looking for a perfect greige shade this season look no further... I have found it! This was actually released as part of OPI's Holland spring collection, but as you will no doubt recall there was a whole mixture of shades and finishes. I wore this to Amsterdam and it lasted for a week with only a few chips. It's a perfect shade for work too.
No7 Totally Teal - When buying polishes from the No7 range, wait until Boots do their "£5 off" vouchers because it makes these just £2 each, which is an absolute steal! This is a gorgeous deep solid shade that looks stunning once applied - it dries to a really glossy finish. You must wear a base coat with this one though - it will stain your nails without one but it so sophisticated I can forgive that!
Revlon Crystalline Bajan Brown - The name of this polish is a bit misleading because it definitely leans more rust orange than brown! However does it not remind you of the colours of the leaves in autumn?! This has a crystalline finish, which is textured and makes this polish stand out from the crown. Unfortunately this is now impossible to get hold of but I couldn't not include it.
MUA Nail Quake in Gold Glitter - You've seen this polish on my blog several times by now... however there is good reason for this! You see, this can be worn over any shade as you would expect, or it can be worn on its own as a regular gold glitter. Basically two polishes for the price of one and who can argue with that? This is my favourite crackle by far, even though the crackle trend has long since passed us by.
