When I planned this outfit in my head, I was really pleased with it. I had yet to wear this roll neck jumper from New Look, and to be honest I didn't know how to wear it best. What would I pair it with? The answer came when I received this beautiful leather bag from Yoshi - click here to read my blog post about it. Then it was just the case of finding the right shoes, and voila! It all came together. But now I'm looking back on the photos, I don't know if I'm so keen on this outfit. I admit that the jumper is not the most flattering on my shape (I think it makes me look bigger than I am), but I loved wearing it on the day nonetheless. It kept me very cosy and warm! I wore this to the Barwick Beer Festival, which never called for one to be particularly dressed up, so this seemed like a good choice.

The jumper, as I've mentioned previously is from New Look, and was a rare spontaneous purchase. I was browsing in store one Saturday afternoon (I was actually looking for something else entirely), and it caught my eye. I believe they did a grey version as well, which I was tempted by, but I have many, many grey items of clothing and figured that I'd try something a bit different. I love the roll neck on this - it means that I don't suffer with what I call the "baggy neck" syndrome, where all of my tops seem to stretch out of shape around the neckline. It of course also keeps my neck nice and warm and means that I didn't need a scarf! It is sort of batwing in style, and very wide; it appears to be almost square when you hold your arms up. The arm holes are quite large, so it is advisable to wear a top underneath to preserve modesty, but I forgot and went without. I don't think I managed to flash my undercrackers at anyone, but who knows! I will be getting a lot of wear out of it over the coming months.

Next are my faithful black, high waisted jeans from Primark. These are on their way out now, as they have faded quite a lot, but I still love them. They are so comfortable, and I know I can count on them to wear with a top if I'm stuck on an outfit. I will definitely be buying another pair of these (presuming I can find them) when these eventually die, but they will be just fine for a while yet. The only downside to these jeans - but to be honest I find this with nearly every pair of jeans - is that they fit me perfectly everywhere except for the waist. There, they are slightly too big, so I have to wear a belt to keep them up. I have yet to find a pair of jeans where I have not needed to wear one!

These Vans are actually again a relatively new purchase. I picked them up in TKMaxx a few weeks before, and I think I'm right in saying that they were only £20. Martin, believe it or not has exactly the same pair, so we have to coordinate to make sure that we're not wearing them at the same time! I had not yet worn them when these pictures were taken, and I thought that I would be able to break them in that day. Well, let's put it this way, I went through several blister plasters and a lot of moaning by the time the day was up! I love the style of these, but they were a pain to wear. I will have to find some suede protectors to go on the inside heels to give my feet a break next time I wear them! Martin said that he had the same problem, but eventually they do become comfortable.

My Yoshi bag has been going around with me on a very regular basis ever since I received it - if you read my post about it a few weeks ago, then you might be interested to know how it's been getting on. As far as I can tell, it still looks as good as the day I got it, and feels like it too. The leather is becoming more and more soft and easier to use the more I wear it, and as of the time of writing, seems to be very substantial indeed. I've been caught out in the rain with this bag, and despite having no leather protector on it, once it had dried it was as if it had never got wet in the first place. The only thing that is annoying me about this bag is the end of the long strap - it refuses to stay down, insisting on sticking up at every opportunity. For the time being I'm using blu-tack to hold it down in place, which is far from ideal but it will do until I can find a more permanent measure. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Finally, last but no means least, are my accessories. These aren't anything that you haven't seen before, although there is one new addition to my Pandora ring collection - my Peacock Glory Ring. It is the first - and possibly only - one I own that contains both silver and gold, and I adore its simplicity. At the moment I'm wearing it stacked with my silver Alluring Delicate Brilliant Ring, but whether these two stay together remains to be seen. Also sparkling away on my right hand is my Entwining Ring, which you can see more clearly in this post. I decided to paint my nails, and whilst I didn't really have a complimenting shade, I wore one that I had wanted to wear for a long time - Revlon Colorstay Rain Forest, which is a beautiful dark, racing green with green glitter. It actually reminded more of Christmas than autumn, but never mind! I can see myself wearing this shade a lot over the next few months.
