Back again with another outfit for you, and you may notice something slightly different compared to previous outfit posts; I'm wearing glasses! I've started wearing them on a regular basis, and have been for the last month or so. It's taken a bit of getting used to, seeing as I have worn contacts for several years, but now they're starting to feel normal. I bought them (and another pair) from Glasses Direct, and I will be writing a review about my experience with them in the next few weeks - so keep your eye out for that!

If you follow this blog, then you will not be surprised to learn that this is yet another Primark outfit. I haven't actually shopped in Primark for a good few months, as I tend to not like their spring/summer range. Far too many neon, fringed tops and hotpants for my liking! I decided to go have a look around when I was in town the weekend before last, with no intention whatsoever of buying - and I came out having spent just over £25. To be fair, I did have a Trinity gift card to use, so really I didn't spend anything! Included in my haul (blog post coming soon), was this top that was only £5. I'm always keeping an eye out for any loose fitting tops, as I find them really comfortable and relatively flattering. I could only find this top in the purple/burgundy colour I bought and grey, and I would have bought both if they had the grey in my size! I actually went up two sizes in this, as I wanted it to be loose enough to cover any lumps and bumps, and I think I made a wise choice. When I next visit a Primark, I will definitely be keeping my eye out for the grey version, and any other colours they may do as I love the way this fits.

Also from Primark are these ripped skinny jeans. I have been looking for a pair of high waisted, blue denim jeans for the longest time, and I came across these almost by accident. I went to try them on with low expectations, but these really surprised me. Not only are they super high waisted (this style is the most comfortable for me and help keep everything a bit more streamlined!), but they're stretchy and the perfect length too. The only downside is that they don't come with belt loops, but after wearing them on a couple of occasions I've found that they've not been bad at all with slipping down. Some of my other pairs of jeans are somewhere around my knees after a few minutes of walking! These were only £10, which for me is an absolute bargain. I'll see how long they will last with the ripped knees!

To add a bit of "something" to an otherwise plain outfit, I dug out my trusty old favourites, the Office Nighthawks. They have made several appearances in outfit posts over the years, and they are still going strong. Apart from a few creases and an odd scuff mark, they look like new! They work so well with skinny jeans especially, and they often draw an admiring comment whenever I wear them. If Office ever bring them back (I really hope that one day they bring them out in different colours), then you must buy a pair - they will last you for years. Next, I accessorised my outfit with a variety of silver jewellery, to tie in with my shoes. My necklace is a simple spike design that I believe I bought at the Forever 21 store in Birmingham some years ago, and the bracelets are a present from Martin - I think probably from the same year. My Pandora rings are now near daily essentials; the 'leaves' one you will have seen before, but the 'entwining' design was a present from Martin for my 25th; it has fast become the favourite piece of jewellery that I own. Finally, I added my trusty Casio watch, and ASOS satchel that Martin bought me (that bag goes everywhere with me), and that's my outfit complete!

  2. I LOVE A GOOD CASUAL OUTFIT! This looks super comfy & easy to wear. It's ages since I had a Primark splurge too & can't help but agree that their summer ranges sometimes have me running for the hills - it can be so garish!
