I'm afraid you'll have to excuse my screwed-up expression in the first photo - squinting into the sun isn't a good look! As you can therefore tell, 16th May was another warm day in Leeds - dare I say that summer is on the way? You never know, we might actually get some sunshine this year. Anyway, this is another comfortable outfit, but ever so slightly dressier than my previous outfit. Loose fitting trousers are still the way forward, and I will be wearing them as much as I possibly can throughout the summer months! This pair I bought from Matalan last summer; they are in fact the same as these ones from an outfit I wore last summer, but a different design. These are made out of lightweight cotton and are extremely stretchy - perfect for an afternoon of drinking beers and eating delicious food! The print is very much out of my comfort zone as I don't like drawing attention to my legs, but when styled properly I think they look alright. They can all too easily look like pyjamas, so I was careful to add some structure to my upper half.
The jacket was a purchase I made probably about this time last year, and it was a bit of a spontaneous one if I remember rightly. I had seen it somewhere (On a blogger, perhaps?), and I fell in love with it straight away. I wanted it so badly that I actually checked the stock in the Leeds store to see if they had any, and obviously they did. I remember trying on my usual size and it swamping me, so this is a size down to what I would usually wear - and it still comes up a little big. You can't really tell on the photos, but it is made out of a very pale pink, waffle texture fabric and it can be worn done up or, how I prefer, left open. Underneath I chucked on a plain white vest top with spaghetti straps, and for a change I tucked it into the trousers; something I usually avoid as I also don't like drawing attention to my middle section! My shoes are from Primark, but I bought them from Michelle at Satchels and Pearls a few months ago. I had been after a pair in a similar style, and when I saw that Michelle was selling these cheap, I snapped them up! I like them, but I don't think they'll last long as they don't have much of a sole to them; I also made the mistake of walking for miles without breaking them in first and they gave me blisters, ouch!
In terms of picking coordinating jewellery, you surely can't get much better than this necklace, can you? It has the exact same shade of pink within the flowers as the jacket, and it really helps to dress the whole outfit up a bit. I like the fact that it has both silver and gold elements; I know most people don't like mixing their metals, but I do and that is something I chose to continue with the rings. My & Other Stories ring came as part of a set of three that I bought in the sale at the back end of last year. I do sometimes wear them together (The other two are the same design in rose gold and gunmetal), but on this occasion I picked out the one and wore it as a thumb ring. To add a bit of sparkle to complement the necklace, I wore my Pandora ring, which I now wear on a regular basis. This is the only Pandora ring I own, and it was love at first sight. It's not a style I would usually go for - in fact, I don't own anything else like it - but I thought that the design was very elegant and unusual. Finally, my watch is my standard, every day one from Casio. I can't stand fussy watches, and that is exactly why I like this one so much; it's simple, classic and goes with everything. The fact that I paid £10 for it is another bonus!

Gorgeous! I love his outfit - it's nice to see you stepping out your usual 'uniform' and trying different things. Still carry it off with total class and style. Xxx
